Porcelain Dental veneers are a cosmetic dentistry procedure performed in our North Bethesda dental office that uses extremely laminates or shells of tooth-colored material (porcelain, ceramic or composite bonding material) that are cemented to the front surface of the teeth to improve their cosmetic appearance. Veneers can solve many cosmetic dental issues including; worn and discolored enamel, appearance of uneven teeth from chips or cracks, and abnormal teeth spacing and gaps.

The dentist will first prepare the existing teeth for the addition of the veneers by removing a small amount of tooth enamel. It is usually best to wait a little while to get used to it before any changes are made.
